Authors approve their own files before sale
Every book sold here has been reviewed and approved by its author through a required file approval step. To approve, the author reads every chapter of the ebook and, where an audiobook exists, listens to every track in full, then records a signed attestation that the content is complete, correct and consistent.
We keep that approval on the record — timestamped, tied to a fingerprint of the exact content approved, and noting how many chapters and tracks were reviewed. A book that has not been approved by its author cannot be put on sale.
This means the person best placed to catch an error — the author who wrote it — has confirmed they checked the whole thing. If you find a problem in a book you bought, tell us, and we will pass it to the author who approved it.
Responsibility for content
Book Factory Café is a marketplace, not the publisher. Authors own their work and are responsible for it, including its accuracy, its rights clearances, and its consistency.
Claims we receive about a book — copyright, accuracy, or anything else — are passed to the author it concerns within one business day.
AI narration and AI-assisted books
Audiobooks here are produced with synthetic narration and always labelled as AI-narrated for listeners. This is disclosed on every audiobook.
Books written with AI assistance carry a provenance label chosen by the author, so you always know what you are buying.
What we do not do
We do not run ads, use third-party trackers, or sell reader or author data. Readers do not need an account to read a first chapter.
